In short: this site does not set cookies. It runs no analytics and no advertising technology of any kind. The one exception is a single embedded widget on the Press page, described below, which is governed by its own provider's policy.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser, typically used to remember who you are between page visits, track your activity across a site or across the web, or serve you targeted advertising. Cookies are one example of a broader category of browser storage technology, which also includes things like local storage.
2. Cookies on this site
This website, morrisonmedia.thegaygency.com (the "Site"), sets no first-party cookies. We do not run any analytics service, we do not run any advertising or retargeting technology, and we do not use browser local storage to remember anything about you. There is nothing here tracking you as you move around the Site. The only information collected is what is described in our Privacy Policy: what you type into the contact form, and the standard server access logs our hosting provider keeps for every visitor.
3. The one third-party embed
The Site's Press page includes a subscribe widget for "Tony's Take," a Substack newsletter written by Tony Morrison. That widget loads directly from Substack's own servers inside the page. Because it comes from Substack, Substack may set its own cookies or collect information when the widget loads or when you interact with it, under Substack's own privacy and cookie practices, not ours. You can read how Substack handles this at substack.com/privacy. This embed is the only place on the Site where a third party can set a cookie or collect information; nowhere else on the Site makes any outside request of this kind.
Outbound links elsewhere on the Site, to morrisonmediahq.com, to press coverage, to Instagram, and to documents hosted on Adobe's platform, take you away from the Site entirely rather than loading anything inside it. Once you click through, you are on that site and subject to its own cookie practices, not ours.
4. How to control cookies in your browser
Because this Site itself sets no cookies, there is nothing here for you to opt out of. If you want to control cookies set by the Substack embed, or by any other site you visit, most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Blocking cookies broadly may affect how the Substack widget behaves, but it will not affect your ability to browse or use the rest of the Site, since the Site does not depend on cookies to function.
5. Changes to this policy
If the Site ever adds a new cookie, analytics tool, or advertising technology, we will update this page to describe it before it goes live. We encourage you to review this page periodically. When we make a change, we will update the effective date at the top.
